Paepcke "Pep-key" Park is central location in Aspen for getting together with others at the conclusion of each day's ride or adventure. This city park is situated on the South side of Main Street (Highway 82) between Garmisch and Aspen Streets. It is easily recognized by the wooden gazebo that is placed in the middle of the grass and surrounded by huge evergreen trees. Several "Spinheads" will be pointing the way just in case your eyes are wandering elsewhere.
This picturesque park is host to several key features: 1) An entertainment stage for music and awards, 2) the place for rider meals or refreshments, and 3) the showcase of exhibitor booths. And, just so that you do not have to wheel your bike around or worrying about it, a secure bicycle storage area is conveniently located just a few blocks away at the Hyatt Grand Aspen. PLEASE BE AWARE that rides up Independence Pass on Friday morning DO NOT START from Paepcke Park. Difficult Campground located about 4 1/2 miles out of town so do allocated enough time to get to the staging area on time and well-rested.
